Chapel of the Chimes offers the public scheduled tours of its historic grounds and buildings, designed with intention by Julia Morgan and dedicated in 1928. Her studies in Paris influenced her work here. Visitors can see the beautiful details in our chapels and hallways. Tours last about an hour and may be scheduled by calling Chapel of the Chimes at (510) 379-5200 or booking online. Private and group tours are available and most of the tour is wheelchair accessible. Our facility has elevators so those with mobility issues can access our spaces.
The Chapel of the Chimes tour is a guided, respectful walk through the columbarium halls, courtyards, gardens and grounds. It focuses on the history of the building, as well as noting the famous figures resting there.

The tour lasts about an hour. The majority of the tour is wheelchair accessible and we have elevators to the upper floors.
