I will always treasure the times when Papa (as my family and I have grown used to addressing him) and I would be sitting down at the dining table long after a meal or during the day, and discuss almost anything and everything under the sun. We would talk about the news, about his Chevron days, about his many life experiences….and it would always be engaging and intellectually interesting. I remember he always marveled at how advanced computer technology had become and would always repeat his recollection of working with computers for the very first time and how you would use a "stack of cards" to load a program and that the computers "back then" occupied whole rooms of space.Bill entered our lives just before my first daughter Nina was born, so now that Nina is 20, her lifetime is filled with memories of vacationing with Papa in Emeryville. My younger daughter Mara also remember Papa because she used to bug him with all sorts of questions that Papa tried his best to answer. Bill was such a gentle spirited person and I am thankful he became a part of our lives for over two decades. We love you Papa! Thank you for everything…Mal, Tess, Nina and Mara
