Steven Deem's Obituary
Steven Deem, born on March 11, 1955, passed away at his home in Oakland, CA, on September 14, 2025, at the age of 70.
On August 30, 2008, Steve married his soulmate, Jill Maness, with whom he shared a deep and enduring bond until her passing in 2019.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Steve loved baseball, pool, tennis, and pickleball. His competitive spirit was matched by a warm and engaging personality that naturally drew people to him. He had a deep appreciation for the arts, especially music, and generously shared that passion with friends and family.
Professionally, Steve built a successful career as a recruiter in the technology sector, dedicating over 35 years to helping shape the industry and supporting countless individuals in their careers.
Steve is survived by his brother, John Deem. He will be remembered for his dedication, compassion, kindness, and the joy he brought to the lives of those around him.
