I knew Rod from working together at Kaiser San Francisco. He worked in the Materials Management Department and I worked in Pharmacy. As an employee of the hospital Rod provided service to the entire hospital and everyone knew him. He was dependable and could always be relied upon. He never complained about anything and was super friendly with an infectious smile. Once I learned that Rod loved golfing we became close friends and frequently shared golfing stories. We also played many rounds of golf together on weekends (along with Hector and the late Nelson Chan). I will remember Rod mostly for how he loved life, golf, his family and anyone he got to know. His infectious personality, smile and friendship will be greatly missed—- Charles Lino.
