Hunter, Robert's Obituary
Robert Hunter Jr., Father, Grandfather, beloved brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 31, 2025.
In his early twenties, Robert was a promising athlete who played baseball with his childhood friend, Joe Morgan, before his career took off. Although he did not pursue his baseball career, he remained a consummate jogger and dedicated himself to staying in shape while keeping his hopes and dreams of one day becoming an artist. Robert had taken the steps to obtain his passport to travel to Paris with his daughter to paint in the famous Montmartre Square, renowned for its artists.
Robert Hunter was cremated, and his ashes were placed in a special urn chosen with love by family members, surrounded by pictures of his brothers, sisters, mother, and father, and a colorful assortment of paintbrushes representing his dream. Robert has been laid to rest in a beautiful glass niche at the Chapel of the Chimes funeral home located in Oakland, CA. He leaves behind friends from his senior home who will miss his resilience and wisdom-qualities that will live on in the hearts of his daughters, grandchildren, brother, nieces and nephews, and all who were blessed to know him.
He will be deeply missed.
