Richard Henry Bergstrom's Obituary
Richard Henry Bergstrom was born January 23, 1982, and departed May 22, 2025. Memorial services will be held at the Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, Oakland, CA on June 7th at 11:00 am.
Richie was a long-term resident of Alameda. He graduated from Encinal high school in 2000. He went on to study Maritime Transportation at the State University Maritime Academy, where he graduated in 2010. He moved to Oakland, California for the last few years. He was an amazing woodworker, an excellent cook and excelled at fixing things without instructions. He was honest, trustworthy always available to lend a hand with a big heart. His fabulous sense of humor and deep understanding of sarcasm will be greatly missed. He leaves behind his wife and life partner of many years, Cassie Carter, his mother, Virginia Bergstrom and numerous siblings: Patty Bergstrom, Sylvia Green, Kathleen Turner, Edward Bergstrom, Thomas Bergstrom, Karen Huyck, Susan Bergstrom, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Owen Bergstrom and his father Richard Bergstrom.
Life will be a lot less brilliant without him.
