Obituary
Patrocenio “Pat” Martinez Caparaz, 80, passed away August 11, 2020 at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center in Berkeley, California.
Pat was born November 3, 1939 in Ozamiz City, Philippines to the late Leandro and Agueda Caparaz. He was the twelfth child of thirteen children. Pat attended Cebu Institute of Technology University and studied Nautical Radio Telephony and Telegraphy.
He was an entrepreneur for over 20 years. In his spare time, he was an active volunteer as a lay minister at Saint Augustine Cathedral in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines. Pat was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus.
Pat was a very kind, caring, and loving person. He loved to read his bible, pray for and with others, spend time with family, laugh, and always wear a smile on his face.
He is survived by his wife, Pedrita Caparaz and their 3 sons, Agner and his wife Dinty, Janus, and Mark and his wife Var, 5 grandchildren, 2 brothers, 1 sister and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pat will be surely missed.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Chapel of the Chimes Oakland, 4499 Piedmont Ave, Oakland, California 94611.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 29th at 5:00 pm PST at Chapel of the Chimes Oakland. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, memorial service is limited only to Pat's immediate family.
