Michael McGuiness' Obituary
Michael McGuinness, 79, of Oakland, CA died peacefully in his home on the morning of 9/24/2015 from complications of metastatic melanoma. He is survived by his wife Louise, his children Erik and Celia, his daughter-in-law Anne, and grandchildren Xavier, Isabel, and Audrey. A native of San Francisco, he grew up in the West Portal Neighborhood. Employment at the Union Pacific Railroad took him to Stockton, CA, Omaha, NE, Cheyenne, WY and Seattle, WA, before returning him to the Bay Area. After retirement Michael lived some of his happiest years. He deeply loved his family. We will miss his sharp wit, his skill in the kitchen, and his generous spirit.
