Lit a candle in memory of Michael Ablen Cavizo
Michael was one of my best friends. There are so many things that I will miss about him. We bowled, played poker together, always went to dinner for each others birthday and most of all we partied. We would go out and dance and have a great time. Often times, I would be tired and sit and my women would come up and say "can I dance with him, he's a great dancer". I would says yes have a good time. When I would go out without him, he would always call me to talk to me to make sure I would get home. I will truly miss Michael, as he was one of the nicest people that I have ever met. I'm really sorry for the pain that the family is going through. I think about the pain that I feel as he was one of my closet friends but just know that he was surely loved by others as well.
When we heard of Mike's passing, especially because it happened two days before Thanksgiving, gave us all the more reason to be thankful. Thankful that we were able to be a part of Mike's life, and he, a part of ours. Having worked with him at AAFES, made it much more fun and tolerable, despite the hard work and demands of the job. He kept things light and was a very humorous person. He and my husband Bien, worked together under Ms. Shirley James' supervision. I'm certain between the two, they made her life very interesting at work. It's as if they were two children who were up to some mischief. They had all the love and respect for Ms. James, who meant the world to them, but also, had a fun time bugging her. Now that Mike and Ms. James are once again reunited in our Heavenly Father's kingdom, I know she won't let him off that easily. But in all seriousness, we thank the Lord for having put Mike in our lives, who was a good friend while working at AAFES. We will definitely cherish the memories we shared with Mike and he will sure be missed, but never forgotten.
