I first met Ms. Marsha while working construction, building a bus pad infront of her shop. I would look forward to the days working infront of her shop.
One, because it was on a better part of International/ E14th.
Two, it smelt great, it smelt like hair product, and not smelly construction workers.
Three, we spoke often, she was kind to me. Her words of encouragement helped ease the stress of the job.
And four, Ms. Marsha styles and cut my hair.
She knew my hair type. And WITHOUT QUESTION, she was the best hair stylist ever!!! No one that ive been to, came close to possessing that talent and pride in one's work.
When I found out Ms. Marsha caught the covid, my heart dropped. At times, I would bring her groceries, food and spoke with her on the phone. After a few months she was covid negative. Even thou she no longer had covid, she suffered tremendous in the last year she was alive. The pitfalls of the pandemic and covid took an enormous toll on her.
I am glad she is no longer suffering. And in a better place.
May you rest in peace dear friend. I miss and love you.
Desiree
You were my first friend in California. We lived together, played together and raised family together.
I'll never forget the day I took you for your cosmetology test! I was your practice model for hair cuts, even perms!
We had a laugh all the time!
I will miss you and think of you every day. Good bye my dear friend.
