A fond farewell to you Marjorie, known to me as Mummy Barton. I will miss our lively and humorous fun conversations we had over the years and my constant reminder to you to live to 110, just so that I could say that I knew one of the oldest women in America! How glad I was to be able to send you a Birthday card for your 100th Birthday, all the way from London, and more importantly from the Queen of England, I know people in high places!I knew that you would try and make your 102nd and then perhaps take a rest.Well you made it Mummy Barton, and now you can fly high and soar above the clouds with angels by your side. I know you will be watching and loving your family and wishingthem untold joy for the rest of the time they are earthbound. We will all meet once again, so this parting is really such a short time in the scheme of things, but until we meet again I will surely miss you.All my Love and many xxx's.
Prayers and support being shared as you and your family say their final goodbye tomorrow to your beautiful mother. Your devoted care of your mother will be my memory of her.
To Marjorie's family and especially to my special friend Laurie, what a wonderful long life to be remembered. May you all have memories that make your hearts smile.
What wonderful memories I have of you as a gracious hostess to Laurie's friend and neighbor. You look exactly as I remember but with beautiful white hair. I also remember Margie welcoming me every day when Laurie and I went thru rush and there was much to talk over. I also babysat Margie's firstborn. Fun to have these great memories of growing up on 28th. Laurie–see you at the UW's 50th? I am sorry for your loss but how wonderful to have your Mom for 102 years! With love, Shirley Ward Doman
