Leroy Musgraves' Obituary
Leroy Musgraves of Oakland, CA departed this world on April 16, 2024 at the age of 77.
He was born January 9, 1947 to the late Charles Musgraves and the late Marie Musgraves in Armorel, AR.
Leroy was a graduate of Armorel High School in Armorel Arkansas. He went on to serve in the United State Marine Corps for four years. He fought in the Vietnam War. After serving his country he went to California State University, to major in dietetics/nutrition and earned a bachelor’s degree.
Leroy was a novelist. He developed his writing talent at Pasadena City College where his short stories won two awards. He went on to write several novels. He loved gardening and hiking.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Musgraves and Marie Musgraves. As well as three brothers, Odell Musgraves, Robert Musgraves, and James Musgraves.
He leaves to cherish his memories: one brother Sherwood Musgraves of Kennett, MO. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
