Leroy and I both attended U.C. Santa Cruz's Farm & Garden apprenticeship program a couple of decades ago. A few of my fondest memories of Leroy are that he would always call me Ms. Nia, taught me how to make blackberry cobbler, and always gave valuable nutrition advice.
