Today, we placed Kevin’s urn at the Courtyard of St Paul at the Chapel of the Chimes. It would have been his 33rd birthday today. A few of Kev’s friends helped us remember the day. The young ones went for run around Lake Merrit after in preparation for their half marathon in honor of Kevin!

Thank you to each of you for your generous donations to NAMI. NAMI Conta Costa was the first agency Cynthia, Lauren and I approached to seek understanding of Kevin’s illness. They were compassionate and resourceful in that first encounter and throughout our journey supporting Kevin. We as a family will continue to seek ways to support NAMi Contra Costa as volunteers and otherwise. At Kevin’s memorial, attendees in the overflow room and online had a difficult time hearing the vocalists during the service. Maria and David gladly obliged with this special recording “for Kevin” and for all the friends that couldn’t hear it that day. This arrangement was Kevin’s go to slow song at family karaoke sessions. The words in the song have so much more meaning to all of us now. We love you and miss you so much Kevin!
My Virgo twin, Kevin had the softest heart, and led with kindness, always. His memory will inspire those that knew and loved him to live the same way. I treasure my memories with him.

Thank you each and every person who attended Kevin’s celebration of life service in Oakland and online this past Sunday. The outpouring of love that washed over us was so comforting and healing. More importantly, we got to hear more about Kevin’s impact on their lives and these shares and stories will in the coming days, weeks and months and even years help Cynthia, Lauren and I carry on…without him! Please continue to post tributes on this wall, text or email as you already have been doing. We read them all, often over and over again. These and the big, warm hugs have truly been the balm to our aching hearts and how God is using His love, through you, to help us heal. Dear Eugene and Cynthia. Tis a very sad thing for Kevin to leave your side so soon. It's hard to comprehend God's way and why He has called Kevin home to Him. May you be assured that He is with the Lord.
