Josefa Ramos' Obituary
Jose, as she was affectionately called, was born in Murcia, Spain, and spent her formative years in Madrid, where after passing the civil service exam, she worked for some years in the public sector. She moved to the United States in 1960 to help in the expansion of Opus Dei, of which she formed part of for over 65 years. She worked unstintingly in centers across the country, in Boston, Washington, DC, New York, Houston, Delray Beach, San Francisco and in Puerto Rico.
She will be remembered for her wisdom, sense of humor, amazing memory, and the special gift of making everyone around her feel loved and appreciated.
She passed away peacefully at home accompanied by many who loved her, just a few hours after receiving the Last Rites. She will be greatly missed.
