Ian Hay Falconer passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, at the age of 87. He was born in Montevideo, Uruguay to Sidney and Dorothy Falconer. Ian was educated in England and graduated from Bristol University, then earned a Maste Read Obituary

Dear Quentin, dear cousins and dear friends of Ian,
So many memories of the most adventuresome, Ian.
Ian and my father were first cousins, their mothers were sisters in a family with many sisters. Both living in the USA, they found lots of opportunities to be together. His visits in the 1960s to our apartment in NYC to hold baby brother, Charlie. Ian and Connie, wonderful hosts, Atlanta, Costa Rica, even in California. We loved his tales of action and adventure, his encouragement of pursuits academic, exploratory and athletic. Ian and Connie attended my sister's wedding in New Hampshire, 2006(?) see the image, below. As we live not so very far from Lexington, Ian and Connie had many good reasons to visit us in Cambridge. We look forward to gathering in Lexington for remembrance and celebration of dear Ian and Connie.

Spending time with Ian and Constance annually at the Brew Am was the highlight of the day. They both emitted such joy and light! I loved Ian's wit and friendly manner. He had such great stories! It truly touched my heart to see the love they had for their family, and the kindness they shared with everyone. I'm raising a glass to them, with love.
