Daddy was able to advise me and help me… I will always remember him,, I miss him already.Carla Cooper-KaranikolaMy daddy knew more by accident than most people know on purpose. I used to tell him, â??be careful, the more you teach us the dumber youâ??ll getâ?. He was my co-conspirator in life. We both set aside many a petty squabble to have each otherâ??s back. Growing up I use to tell people â??my daddy will cut youâ?! HE and mama were responsible for my sense of entitlement. To the very end he told me that I was different. Daddiesâ?? memory will be eternal. My favorite daddy-ism is â??rigmaroleâ? (pronounced without the â??Lâ?).rigâ?¢maâ?¢role noun 'ri-g?-m?-?rol, 'rig-m?-: Nicholas KaranikolasFor 27 years Granddaddy was a constant light in my life! Mom worked late; my childhood was spent with my grandparents. Granddaddy was quick to teach us, new things. His approach was â??hands on â??, and he made teaching us his priority. He was never afraid to pop you or your friends upside the head for not listening. So knowledgeable, teaching us many things: tying shoes, riding bikes, multiplications, and how to fix everything. It may not look like much, but if granddaddy fixed it you knew it would work. Most importantly, he taught us the Word of God. Next time I see you, it will be with Grandma. I love you. May Your Memory Be Eternalâ?¦Justin KaranikolasBabiesâ?? first words are usually mama or daddy; my first words were granddaddy. Once Carla sowed granddaddy a picture of me and told him that I looked like gold. His reply was, â??he always was goldâ?. When granddaddy came to see me at Fairyland, he said â??thatâ??s my Grandsonâ?. He proudly told people that I was an Acolyte, a singer in the Pacific Boyâ??s Choir, and a saxophonist in the Antioch Marching Band. Granddaddy loved my girlfriend Julianna. He recently asked her, regarding me, â??Do you love him?â? Her answer made him smile. I will make sure that his memory is passed on. Rest in Peace Granddaddy.Eddie L.
