Dale was not only a colleague but like a lab mom to a lot of us at UCSF clinical lab. She always prepared stock reagents and maintained an efficient workflow for all of us. There was never a moment that she would get tired from listening to my complaints. Her constant encouragement was my greatest support. She will be missed dearly and unforgettable to me.

Dale was my cousin , and only 8 months older than me. I will miss our conversations and the memories we shared.
One in particular was when we were about 4 years old, standing in front of Grandma’s house with our ice cream cones. Suddenly a dog ran up and nipped my hand as it grabbed my cone. As I stood crying, Dale bit the dog, and it turned and nipped her too. There’s a picture of the two of us with bandages wrapped around our hands.
Dale was fearless then and the same through out her life as she accomplished so much.
I will always love my cousin Dale….
