Clinton Binns SR's Obituary
Clinton Binns Sr. was born on 4/13/1926 in Baxter, Arkansas, he was the second oldest in a family of 8 children. He was born to John Quincy Binns and Virgie Lee Turner however raised by his grandparents Joshua Turner Jr & Anna Brown–Turner.
Clinton attended Friendship Baptist Church Baxter, AR. His grandfather and two uncles, Thomas and William were ordained Baptist Ministers. Their early influences nurtured his deep abiding Christian faith. He became an avid reader of the bible.
He married his beloved wife Emma Allen from Summit, Mississippi in 1944. They met as children in Baxter, AR during grade school. They moved to Oakland, California, they had one son (Clinton Binns Jr).
Clinton attended grade school in Baxter, Arkansas and furthered his education at Laney College in Oakland, California.
Shortly after marriage Clinton reported for duty with the US Army where he was placed at Fort Francis E. Warren, the 4188th Army/Air Force Base located three miles from Cheyenne, Wyoming.
He worked for the Oakland Post Office as a Mechanical Department Supervisor and provided service there for 30 years.
Clinton Binns Sr. was called home to be with the Lord on July 14th 2020. He was preceded in death by both parents, grandparents, Wife: Emma Binns, son: Clinton Binns Jr., Grandson: Erik Covington, (3) Brothers: Curtis Turner, Charles Turner and Robert Perry, (3) Sisters: Eria Mae Turner- Caruthers and Charlotte Ann Watson–Crockett, Waltar Marie Turner-Davis
He leaves to cherish his memories: Brother: Melvin Watson of Las Vegas, NV. (2) Daughters: Dorothy Ross & Sharon Whittaker, and a dedicated daughter-n-law Bobbie Binns, (3) Grand Children: Carmen Williams (Reggie), Carlos Binns & Marcus Whittaker, (8) Great Grand Children; Kobie, Aubrie, Harrison, Terre, India, Jaxsen, Jaylon, Namar and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
