Christine Taylor, a lifelong resident of Oakland, California, peacefully departed this life on July 9, 2026, at the age of 77.
Christine was the devoted wife of Willie Taylor, a loving mother to her daughter, Aquaria, and a proud and cherished grandmother/great-grandmother. Her family was the center of her world, and she found her greatest joy in creating lasting memories with those she loved.
Known for her impeccable style, Christine loved dressing up and always carried herself with grace and confidence. She had a gift for bringing people together, opening her heart and home to family and friends. Whether celebrating a special occasion or enjoying an ordinary day, she made every gathering feel warm and welcoming.
Christine was known throughout her community as someone who was always willing to help others. She was the person family, friends, and neighbors could depend on for guidance, encouragement, or a helping hand. Her kindness, generosity, and caring spirit touched countless lives, and her willingness to put others before herself earned her the love and respect of everyone who knew her.
Though she will be deeply missed, Christine's legacy of love, compassion, strength, and generosity will continue to live on through her family and all those whose lives she touched
She is reunited with her Mother and Father; Alice Lee Riley and Rev. William Riley. Her brother Victor Murrell. Her sisters Sharon Henry and Brenda V. Riley.
Christine leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Willie Taylor; her daughter, Aquaria Malvo; her grandchildren Mi’Shae Malvo, Mekhi Malvo-McFall (Tory Malvo-McFall); her great-grandchildren, Miyel Malvo-McFall and Amahle Ford;her siblings Virtual Murrell, Dr. William S. Riley(Adrienne Riley), Geraldine Jordan, Sandra Norsworthy; a host of nieces and nephews; extended family; dear friends; and a community of loved ones who will forever hold her in their hearts.
