She always greeted me with a hug and kiss, as she entered the church. Such a classy lady.

Christine was to me closer than a sister. I first met Chris at Frick Jr school in 1962 and then onto Castlemont High where we graduated in 1967. I have known Chris for 64 years. Chris and I were friends six years before my husband, Gail Otis and I got married. Chris was always very caring loving kind generous a servant of God always wanting to lend a helping hand at every gathering my family had. You name the event, Chris was there contributing, setting things up, decorating, greeting guest whether it was a birthday party, reception, repass, bridal shower, baby shower, our 50th year wedding Anniversary, my children’s wedding, my grandchildren’s wedding and I could go on and on.
Chris’s sense of humor and laughter was contagious!! Whenever I personally had a down day, I could count on Chris to talk my tears away with words of encouragement and before ending our long conversation we’d be laughing so hard with such joy we didn’t want to get off the phone.
We often sent gifts to one another and gifts to each other’s grandchildren or money in a card for treats for the babies. We even sent one another gift cards to Sees Candies or Starbucks for a just because thinking of you cards, just randomly surprising one another.
There’s so many memories made and shared with our families. Chris was a bright light a strong bond between us. I can truly say I thank God for blessing my life and family with a beautiful and genuine soul sister in Christ. Chris always said that I was her Spiritual advisor and would say, “well now, you have preached me a good sermon, we have had church, now all we need to do now is pass the offering tray!” One more thing to laugh about.
I’m missing Chris already because we talked and texted almost daily. I inhale and exhale calling out Chris’s name since she received her wings. I know she was met at heavens gates, where all the saints gathered to receive her and did rejoice.
I love you Chris and I will see you again in heaven. Thank you for everything as we didn’t get to say goodbye, but we did thank God for our last early Sunday morning inspiration to one another, for being on the wake up list another day. To God be the glory for a beautiful and wonderful life well lived.

I have great memories of Christine! I met her at Castlemont High School, she was always super friendly and super funny. She was always kind to everyone. Even after high school in June 1967, we wouldn't see each others for years and years - but stayed in touch by a phone call from time to time and those calls would be like, we just saw each other yesterday. We would laugh and giggle and reflect on the past and talk about what's going on. The last time I saw Christine was at a class reunion, we both just hugged each other and were so glad to see one another. You could feel her love, what comes from the heart is felt by the heart. Everyone should have a Christine in their life, as she makes things better just by being present and for knowing her. Christine was a believer, and although we mourn her transition, we know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord! She truly was a child of God and we will miss her wonderful sweet presence and we rejoice, knowing she made it home. My condolences to family and friends, they don't make them like that anymore! See you in the morning Christine.
Nona always knew how to put a smile on my face, she was my confidant she just knew to get through to me and let me know that everything will be ok.
