Tony And Lyn Walk
From Tony and Lyn Walk We are so sorry that we physically cannot be here with you today to say our goodbyes and pay our last respects to our longtime dear friend Anita. Unfortunately, health issues and, the distance involved made it impossible to gather with you, but we are most definitely there in spirit.Anita and Bob, and their entire family have been part of our lives for more than 35 years and weÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢ve experienced many happy times together. Tony recalls trips to Reno and Tahoe where the Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã?â??little girlsÃ?¢ââ??¬Ã? Vicki and Patti would vie to see who would sit next to him at dinner. In later years that didnÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢t seem very important to them! Then there were the exciting Jeepers Jamboree trips, one of which happened just a few days after we got married and as we lay in our sleeping bags under the stars, Anita on one side and I on the other of Tony, Anita used to like to kid about how she even went on our honeymoon with us! Those trips were so much fun and we always made sure we had a deck of cards close at hand in case we needed a Gin fix!! One vivid memory was when there was apparently a breakdown ahead of us. Jeeps were at a standstill and we were hot and dusty. Anita suggested Bob pull off near the river; we cooled off a bit, found a flat rock in the middle of the river and got in several hands of Gin before things got rolling again. And speaking of Gin, that game probably bound the four of us together more than any other single thing. We have logged countless hours, probably thousands playing cards together and those fun times will be a part of our memory forever. And as far as cards are concerned, we all know what a good poker player Anita was. Tony originally met Bob at a poker game and it wasnÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢t long after that that the 3 of them were playing in various weekly games on a regular basis. All the men loved her Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã?¦Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã?¦..she was the only female in those gamesÃ?¢ââ??¬Ã?¦Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã?¦.and she was truly Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã?â??one of the boysÃ?¢ââ??¬Ã?Â. Anita always told us and made us feel as if we were Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã?â??part of the familyÃ?¢ââ??¬Ã?Â. If we were in town we were invited to spend holidays at their home, and until recent years when weÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢ve sometimes been out of the area, we spent most Christmases with them. ItÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢s such a sad day for all of us to have to say farewell to a woman who has meant so much in so many ways to each of us. Go in peace dear friend. You will always hold a very special place in our hearts
