Aida Escobedo Resendiz's Obituary
Aida Escobedo Resendiz passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025 surrounded by her family on a beautiful sunny morning. Leaving behind a legacy of kindness and love.
Aida was born on April 29, 1956 to Gerardo and Esther Garcia in Mexico City, Mexico. Aida was proud of her Mexican cultura. In 1962, at the age of 6, her family moved to Oakland, CA, where her parents and sister Alma Garcia attended Trinity Church. Aida was a devoted Christian. In 1975, she graduated from Fremont High School in Oakland, CA. Aida went on to study at Mills College and was an active member of Mecha. In 1979, Aida graduated from Mills College with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and a Minor in Spanish.
On August 11, 1984, Aida married her husband Roberto Resendiz. Aida then graduated from California State University, East Bay with a Master’s in Public Health Administration. Aida began her career in dental and then onto optometry, working as an office manager in various practices throughout the Bay Area.
After retiring in 2019, Aida enjoyed spending time with her family, and friends. Aida deeply loved and stayed closely connected with her family in Mexico. Aida is survived by her loving husband Roberto Resendiz, her cherish children Lorenzo Resendiz, Graciela Resendiz and Gabriel Resendiz. Aida was a proud abuelita to her beloved grandchildren Alayiah Resendiz, Coco Resendiz, Camilo Resendiz and Cruz Resendiz.
Aida is forever in our hearts as her legacy continues to live on. Aida touched many lives with her generosity, love and graceful smile. Aida now rests in the arms of the Lord.
