Yvonne Yvette Davis was born in Berkeley, California on February 28,1966 to Vergie Mack and Louiel Davis. Yvonne received her education in Oakland, California, attending Prescott Elementary school, Saint Columba Middle School, Saint Elizabeth High School and Skyline High School. Yvonne worked for Emporium Capwell, Macy’s, Neiman Marcus and several clothing boutiques in San Francisco, California. Yvonne grew up attending Prince of Peace Missionary Baptist Church with her grandmother Ertha Mack. She had a huge passion for reading, as well as enjoyed writing and drawing. Yvonne had a special love for children, matched by her love of animals. She visited zoos, where she loved feeding the animals. Her other joys included going on long drives and shopping with her mother. She would spend hours in a store reading product ingredients, often leaving without a single purchase. Yvonne was a kind-hearted, fun loving person, who loved to laugh and have a good time. Yvonne parted her life on March 4, 2022 in Oakland, California. She was preceded in death by the love of her life Kirk Douglas, father Louiel Davis, great grandmother Octavia Haynes, grandparents George and Ertha Mack, uncles William Mack, Paul Mack, Bobby McReynolds Sr., Ronnie G. Mack, cousins Ronnie M. Mack and Ronald Mack. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving mother Vergie Mack; sister Antoinette Brown (Lavelle Brown); niece Alexandria Brown; aunts Marva Coleman, Bernice Mack, Juanita Banks, Charlene Pittman and Patricia Bonner; uncles Spencer Mack and George McReynolds Jr., cousins Karl Coleman, Trinna Davis, Marvin Coleman, Ronda Shay Mack, Michelle Mack, Monique Mack, Theresa Mack, Paul Mack, Ventrice Bonner, Johnell Murry and a host of family and friends.
