Zaragoza Garza's Obituary
Zaragoza Garza was born on a ranch near a small village in Nuevo Leon, Mexico in 1923. The eldest of five brothers, he came to the US in 1938 and worked in the citrus groves in South Texas, where he met and married, Irma, his wife of 63 years. The family relocated to Michigan in the 1950’s where Zaragoza worked for Ford Motor Company for 30 years. Zaragoza and Irma moved to California in 2007. In addition to Irma, Zaragoza is survived by four children, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild and seventeen nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service on Monday, August 25, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Avenue in Oakland. Family and friends will enjoy light refreshments after the service on the premises.
