Yoshiko HanamuraResident of AlamedaYoshiko Hanamura passed away March 15, 2010. Born 1922 in San Francisco, California, and a graduate of the San Francisco Girls Academy in 1940. Married to Tatsuo Hanamura on October 23, 1946 until his death in January 2001.Devoted wife and mother. She is survived by her sister, Mieko Imazumi (Kazuo) of San Mateo; daughter Joyce Chen (Sam Hirabayashi) of Castro Valley; three sons, William Hanamura of Fremont, Alan Hanamura of San Mateo, and Philip Hanamura (Dorothy) of Colorado Springs, CO; two grandsons, Robert Chen of San Jose, Trevor Hanamura of Colorado Springs, CO; three granddaughters, Jennifer Hanamura of Fremont, Kimberlee Hanamura of Fremont, Nicole Hanamura of Colorado Springs, CO; and many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother, Hajimu Yoshino of San Francisco, CA. A Viewing will be held on March 19, 2010, 5-8pm at the Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland, CA. A Memorial Service will be held on March 28, 2010, 3:00PM at the Buena Vista United Methodist Church, 2311 Buena Vista Avenue, Alameda, Ca.
