Dr. Wendell A. Williams' Obituary
Dr. Wendell Alfred Williams was born on December 30, 1945 from the union of his late mother Carlene trice Stark-Williams and late father Albert Arthur Williams in Ogden, Utah. Besides his parents he preceded in death by a sister Arlette Williams Corbin and brothers Retired US Army Lt. Col Lloyd J. Stark, Oscar G. Stark & Frank Stark.
Dr. Williams accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age. From that time on, to his passing on Thursday evening June 5, 2014 when his breath returned to God, Dr. Williams’ faith and trust in God through Jesus Christ never wavered. As one of God’s servants, he served in leadership positions during various times in his life as a Sabbath School teacher, Deacon and church Elder.
Dr. Williams graduated from Weber High School in Ogden, Utah in 1964. He was elected by the student body to serve as the Vice President during his senior year. He attended Weber State College in Ogden, Utah and went on to be a 1971 graduate from the School of Dentistry at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA. Dr. Williams practiced general dentistry in the Oakland area from 1973 to present. In addition he served as the Dental Director for the West Oakland Health Center from 1974 to 1975.
Dr. Williams met his lovely wife and sparring partner Vivian Olivia Daniels when he was 19 and she was 16. They married when he was 23 and she was 20. He leaves behind his loving bride of 45 years, Vivian Williams of Lafayette, CA, three sons Dr. Bryan Williams, Dr. Brent Williams (Robin) of Lafayette, CA and Dr. Nathan Williams (Deia) of Beaumont, CA; Sisters Lois Jackson of Las Vegas, NV and Neva Douglas of Lansing , MI; Brothers Retired US Army First Sgt. Howard A. Williams (Mary) of Radcliff, KY and Albert A. Williams Jr. of Wichita, KS. Dr. Williams was adored by his ten grandchildren (Chontelle, Nadia, Amani, Delia, David, Elijah, Micah, Christopher, Naeema,, Shanice) they are the beat of his heart, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends from coast to coast.
Dr. Williams is able to rest in peace because of his commitment to God, and his faith in the soon coming of Jesus Christ.
