Wayman B. Lowe's Obituary
Wayman B. Lowe, age 87, beloved son, husband and father passed away on October 30, 2014 in Oakland, CA, after a long bout with Alzheimer’s and associated health disorders. Born May 23, 1927 in San Francisco to parents, Winston C. Lowe and Nellie Joe, Wayman graduated from McClymonds High School in Oakland in 1944, served a year of military service in WWII and attended University of California, Berkeley. He spent 40 years as a Warehouseman at the Naval Supply Center and 8 years as a security guard at the Oakland Coliseum. Wayman was a gentle man who prioritized providing for his family and not taking the stresses of life too seriously. He enjoyed spending his time having meals with his family, maintaining his stamp collection and playing games like Mah Jongg and Scrabble. Wayman is survived by his wife, Amy, children Marty, Joanna, (Johnny), Albert, (An), and granddaughter, Jillian.
The Funeral Service for Wayman B. Lowe will be held at the Tower Chapel located at Mt. View Cemetery 5000 Piedmont Avenue Oakland, California.
