Warren Donald Jew's Obituary
Warren Donald Jew passed away peacefully on October 10, 2016 in Hayward, California. Born in Alameda, California on January 14, 1949. He graduated from Skyline High School in Oakland and was a musician in both the Weldonians Marching Band and Weldonians Show Band. He was the beloved father of Summer L. Jew-Bowers (Bryan) and Kadie B. Jew-Fortner (Robert.) Loving Gung Gung of Colin (11), Caleb (8), Logan (7) and Preston (4). Also survived by his father, Donald Jew; sisters: Sharon Hallmeyer and Janice Risard; brother: Lester Jew. Preceded in death by his wonderful mother, Martha Jew.
Warren was an owner and operator Truck Driver for 40 years. He was a longtime fan of the Oakland Raiders & A’s. Warren loved music. He played the piano, the saxophone, & the clarinet, and was the best air guitarist around. Warren loved to cook and tried his luck at the lottery every week. He enjoyed Hot August Nights. He never missed a birthday and enjoyed having long conversations about recipes, driving directions, and television shows. He will be missed greatly by many.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Chapel of the Chimes in the Chimes Chapel.
