Wanda Lee Gonzales' Obituary
Wanda Lee (Taylor) Gonzales, 80, of Oakland California passed away December 5, 2019. She was born to Paul and Mary Taylor in San Diego California on September 11, 1939, graduated from Mission Bay High School in San Diego, and attended classes at San Diego State University.
She was married to Gary Gonzales on February 14, 1959 and moved to the East San Francisco Bay Area. Wanda and Gary lived in Hayward California for over 40 years.
Wanda was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She attended various churches over her lifetime, including Manor Baptist San Leandro, Highland Baptist Hayward, and Redwood Chapel Castro Valley. She was a beloved Christian Sunday school teacher for 40 years and dedicated much of her time and talents serving the Lord. She was a strong influence in the education of many of her grandchildren. A tireless genealogist, she traced her ancestry to the early 17th century.
Preceded by her parents and brother Albert Taylor, Wanda is survived by husband Gary Gonzales, daughters and sons-in-law Mary Ann and Dan Wittman, and Anna and Doug Matangelo; son David Gonzalez, brother Paul Taylor, and sister Marie Topping; also her grandchildren Taylor, Philip, Paul, Annalisa, Alyssa, Samuel, Andrew, Abrielle, and Aleena.
