Vivian was a beautiful woman in every way. She and I knew each other from her work in New York City. The time we spent together was always thoughtful, energizing and engaging. When she left NY, it broke my heart. Miss you, Vivian.

I was just reaching out to you to wish you a happy birthday. Unfortunately, my persistence led me to find your obituary. I am so heartbroken that I didn’t get to say a proper goodbye. You are truly missed, my dear. My deepest condolences to your mother and sister.
My prayers to Vivian’s family and loved ones. What a wonderful person. Vivian your spirit, dignity and kindness are eternal, rest and soar with the angels.
When you have known someone on and off for nearly 30 years, you don’t know how to summarize their profound influence on you. Vivian, you were always held in awe and your intelligence and hardworking nature were practically unmatched. You would drift in and out of my life just to give me a leg up, advice or just to check in. The thing is you got so very busy but looking back l realize that in the span of your too short life it was a gift. Thank you and it has been an immense privilege to call you a friend.
I recall Vivien as a lady who chaired one of the projects at the NUS Students’ Union. She was a lively and cheerful lady. Have not met her since 1992 but am nonetheless extremely shocked to hear this news. Edward Tay
Vivian was my law school classmate in NUS. I did not have much contact with her but for those few times I did, she always had very a very calm, gentle and and kind nature. May God rest her soul and grant peace to her family ??
Kind. Gentle. Patient Generous. A towering intellect. Honest. Impeccable manners and deportment. Only you could hold a rowdy class of teenagers in pin-drop silence. Speaking at barely above a whisper, as you explained, again, something for our benefit. It was a privilege to have shared a small part lf your life. Vivian, gone too soon. You will be missed and the world is poorer for your passing. May you be in a better place.
Kind. Patient. Gently spoken. Impeccable manners and deportment. Towering intellect. Boundless generosity. Honest and upstanding. Vivian, gone too soon. May you be in a better place.
I had the honor of being Vivian’s Assistant at Davis Polk for the last 5 years. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and I especially enjoyed our little social chats. She was a very kind and gentle person, who I always admired her dedication and hard work ethics. May she rest in peace. My deepest sympathy.
Deepest Condolences to Vivian’s family. I remember her from sec school and law school. She was a really bright spark.
