Victor P. Mohorovich's Obituary
There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday November 18th for Victor Mohorovich who died peacefully October 24th after a short illness. Victor was born in Kudacus Austria on December 2, 1911.He came to America in 1921, and aren't we glad he did. He was a long time member of the Covenant Church (Now called the Mission Delores Church) in San Francisco. A long time resident of San Francisco, he retired from the State of California in 1971. He enjoyed his retirement to the fullest. He was always helping someone and everyone making, improving and inventing. After several years of retirement he moved to Salem Lutheran Home in Oakland, where he became their unofficial handyman. Victor will be remembered for his innovative ideas and his kindness. He is predeceased by his Mother, Mary Grabor; Father, John Mohorovich; Brother Steve of Stockton; and wife of 28 years, Lillian. He leaves behind his loving wife of 39 years Genevieve; daughter Victoria Jordan of Redmond, Oregon; son John of Redmond, Oregon; son and daughter-in-law Robert and Debbie of Redmond, Washington; and daughter and son-in-law Shirley and Dennis Lucas of Lake Tahoe, Nevada. He also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grand children, also his family of friends at Salem Lutheran Home. There are two special families that mourn Victor's passing as much as his own family they are the Terry Kenny Family of Southern California; and the Leigh Family of San Francisco.In lieu of flowers please send donations to: Salem Lutheran Home at 2361 E. 29th St, Oakland, CA 94606
