Vernon Shilts
June 21st 1919- Jan 19th 2014
Vernon E. Shilts passed away January 19th, 2014 in Hayward, CA at the age of 94. He was a loving caring husband to Anne F. Shilts. They were happily married for 72 years. He was proceeded by his wife and 3 children Vernon Jr. Barbara Coats, and Judidth Lourenco.
Vernon is survived by his grandson’s Daniel Coats, Anthony Lourenco, Carlos Lourenco, granddaughter Donna Wasch. Great granddaughter’s Stephanie Coats, Julianna Coats, great grandson Tino Wasch and extended family.
He was a WWII veteran, and a longshoreman for the port of Oakland. He was a loyal A’s fan, loved to garden, and most of all the love for his family. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
