Valeska Tania Ramet's Obituary
Valeska Tania Ramet of Oakland, CA died November 9, 2018. She was born in San Francisco, CA on August 16, 1970. Valeska graduated from Skyline High School in 1987. She received a degree in Film Studies from UC Santa Barbara and went on to receive a Masters of Arts degree from New York University in American Studies. Here she began her career in the Film Industry at Miramax, Sony Pictures classics, and Universal Pictures. After three years she moved to Los Angeles and began working with Director Brad Silberling at Reveal Entertainment. She also worked with Universal Pictures and Dream Works in her role as executive producer. Later she became Vice President of stone village Pictures.
Leaving the film industry in 2010, she returned to the Bay Area where she became a Relationship Coach and a member of the East Bay BNI. She enjoyed her Lake Shore, Montclair, Piedmont and College Avenue location, making many friends among the community.
Valeska was preceded in death by her sister Shelly Ramet. She is survived by her Mom and Dad, Sandra and Dave Ramet, and 102 year old grandmother, Leota Hall, Aunt Sharron, Aunt Mary, Uncle Richard, and Cousins Christina, Dawn, Ricky, Michael, Lisa, Elena, Jonele, and Chloe.
Valeska especially enjoyed humor, comedy, dancing, neighborhood walks, health and fitness, and popular culture.
There will be a Memorial Service at the Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland, CA 94611 on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11:00 am.
