Tomiyo Tee Yoshiwara's Obituary
Tomiyo Tee Yoshiwara, died peacefully Sunday February 18th 2018 at her home in Concord, at the age of 97. She was born to Ryuzo and Kiyo Hashimoto, in Lompoc CA. Tee was preceded in death by her husband Eiichi Yoshiwara. She is survived by son Kent (Pat), and Grandchildren, Kaz and Carole.
She lived most of her life in Alameda. For the past 4 years she resided at the La Orinda Home, in Concord. Attended school in Alameda, Armstrong College, and also Japanese School at the Temple. She was a long-time member of the Buddhist Temple of Alameda.
Tee and her family were evacuated to Tanforan, during WWII, then to Topaz Utah. She returned to Alameda, after the war.
She worked for the State of California for close to 40 years, and retired as a Sr. Legal Stenographer.
She volunteered at JASEB (now J-Sei), with the Lunch Program, and the Alameda Meals on Wheels.
She enjoyed bowling, golf, poker, and bingo. She was an avid Giants fan
Memorial Service will be held at the Chapel of the Chimes in Oakland, on Friday March 9th, at 2:00 pm.
