Thomas Lowe Jeung's Obituary
Thomas “TJ” Jeung (11/13/1928 to 3/27/2021) was born in San Francisco and lived in the Bay Area throughout his life. He attended McClymonds High School in Oakland and later served two years active duty and six years in the reserves of the US Army. He became a well-known figure in Oakland’s Chinatown where he was part-owner of Center Auto Parts. In his retirement years, he enjoyed fishing, bowling, and spending time with his family. On 3/27/2021, he passed on following a brief illness.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Junie Joy Jeung, and his children Thomasina Valente, Stephen Jeung, Melinda Butler, Victoria Jeung, Lisa Jeung, Miyoshi Narasaki, Joseph Jeung, Thomas Jeung, Jerry Jeung, and Peggi Jeung. He leaves behind eighteen beloved grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, along with sisters Isabel Young and Minette Wong, and brothers Peter Lowe and Donald Jeung.
He was preceded in death by his parents Oy Quan and Stephen Jeung, and brothers Samuel Jeung and Daniel Jeung. He also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A graveside service will be held on April 17th at 11:00am at Tung Sen Cemetery (Sutton Ave and Junipero Serra Blvd) in Daly City.
