Terriana Marie Evans' Obituary
Terriana was born on April 3, 1999, to Tyesha Pryor and Terrance Evans.
Terriana received her education in Oakland, CA, and graduated from Emerge Continuing Education. She later met Gregory Dickerson through a mutual friend, and the rest was history. From this union, a beautiful child was born.
Terriana was affiliated with many different groups and organizations that help at-risk youth; one that she really adored was the Young Women’s Freedom Center. Her story and commitment to serve the young men and women gained her travels to teach and inspire by speaking and interviewing at rallies and conferences in many different states. She even featured in an NAACP Image Award-nominated documentary, "Push Out," about the criminalization of black girls in our schools. Terriana then went on to work as a youth counselor.
Terriana enjoyed admiring and sketching art, playing bingo, and spending quality time with her friends and family. As much as she enjoyed these things, there was nothing she enjoyed more than being a mother to her beautiful daughter.
Terriana was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Eddie McDaniel, Fred McDaniel, Evelyn Pryor, and Leon Pryor Sr. Her grandmother, Penny McDaniel, and her father, Terrance Evans.
Terriana Evans departed this life on Sunday, August 27, 2023, leaving her family to cherish her memories. Her beloved daughter Gianna Dickerson, the father of her child Gregory Dickerson, mother Tyesha Pryor, siblings Paris Jackson, Terrance Evans, and Travis Evans, and grandparents Palua Evans, Anthony Pryor, and Etta Betts.
Terriana also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.
