Teckley F. Collins' Obituary
Teckley F. Collins, was born on February 17, 1942 to A.C. Fairley and Millie Liza Eaton Fairley. Teckley
was the third child to be born to this young couple. She was born in the small community in Crowville,
Louisiana know as the Piney Woods. After he passing of her Dad, her mother met and married JD.
Mitchell who raised her as his daughter along with her brothers.
Teckley loved spending time with her family especially her grand and great grandchildren. She was
affectionately known as Big Sister, Auntie, Momma, Grandma, Granny and Queenie.
Teckley departed life on September 5, 2022 on Labor Day. Her labor on earth was completed. She was
preceded in death by Father AC Fairley, Mother Millie Fairley Mitchell, Bonus father JD Mitchell, ExHusband William “Bill” Collins, son James “Skipper” Fairley, grandson Dontay Bynum, brothers, Eligha
Fairley, Fred Fairley, James Fairley and nephews Wayne Fairley, Joe Fairley and Van Surrell.
She leaves to cherish her memories: son William Collins, Jr. (Dionne), 2 daughters, Jacqueline Collins,
Lisa Williams (Rondell), Brothers Willie Fairley (Peggy), Woodrow Fairley (Bobbie). AC Fairley (Emma),
Eddie Fairley (Donna), Henry Hill (Marsha), Dennis Mitchell (Julia), one sister Annie “Pumpkin” Mitchell
Bishop (John), in-laws Jurubia “Jerry” Collins (Martha), Phyllis Gant(Lenard), Beverly Jackson, 10
Grandchildren, Antonio Bynum(Claudia), Ida Bynum, Agilla Wimberly, William Collins, III, Antoine Collins,
DeMarcus Fludd, Chanel Marsh (“DeVante), Sierra Johnson, Hennessey Smith(Dwayna),Mark “Buddy”
Miller, 30 great grandchildren, God children George “Lucky” Sumler, Deon Jackson, Jimmie dill, 3 God
Grandchildren, DeZere Robinson, Eddie Hunter, and Damon Wilburn, Jr. Special friend Ann Johnson and
God brother and cousin Bobby Washington and a host of nieces and nephews, cousin, friends and
associates.
