Tatsumi Tajima's Obituary
TATSUMI TAJIMA passed away in Alameda, CA on January 14, 2003. He was the beloved husband of Sadako Tajima of Alameda and the loving father of Nancy Tajima of Alameda, CA; Joanne Lee, wife of Wilton Lee of Berkeley, CA; Patricia Tajima of Berkeley, CA and Janis Yamaguma, wife of Richard Yamaguma of Los Altos, CA. Hikoichi Tajima of Oakland, CA and Namikato of Fort Morgan, CO preceded him in death.He was the dear grandfather of Christopher Lee, Jared Lee, Jenna Yamaguma and Kelli Yamaguma. Many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews also survive him.A native of California, he was 88 years of age.He served in WWII’s famed 442nd Regimental Combat Team; a member of the American Radio Relay League (AARL), Japanese American Amateur Radio Society (JASRS), Alameda JACL, Buena Vista United Methodist Church, Cathay Amateur Radio Club, Charter member and past President of Central Lions Club, and a member of Alameda Sons in Retirement (SIRS).Friends are invited to attend Memorial Services at Buena Vista United Methodist Church, 2311 Buena Vista Avenue in Alameda on Saturday, February 1, 2003 at 1:00PM
