Sylvia C. Balbi's Obituary
Sylvia C. Balbi, 83, of Oakland died August 28, 2006 in her home. She was born August 13, 1923 to Lorenzo and Maria Balbi. Ms Balbi was retired from Alameda County where she was a social worker. During retirement Ms Balbi volunteered at Alta Bates Summit Hospital through the Alta Bates Summit Volunteer department. Survivors include her nephew Paul Balbi Parichan and niece Sandra Parichan Sparks. Preceding her in death were her parents, her sisters Delma Parichan and Wilma McCarthy, and nephews Jim and David McCarthy. Memorial contributions may be made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Alameda County. Services are private.
