SUSUMU TOMINE passed away in alameda, CA on October 4, 2002. He was the beloved husband of the late Tomoe Tomine of Alameda and the loving father of Chris (Karen) Tomine of Sacramento, Eugene (Sharon) Tomine of Moraga, Naomi (Walt) Ellis of Alameda and Amy (Doug) Dexter of Albany. He was the dear brother of Hiroshi, Minoru, Mitsuru Tomine of Itako, Japan, Kiyoko Yoshizaki of Itako, Japan, Sumiko Okawa of Tokyo, Japan and Yoshiko Kitazaki of Yokohama, Japan. He was the dear grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 2.A native of Stockton, CA, he was 85 years of age.He was a founding president of Alameda Kayo Club, member of Alameda Buddhist Temple Doshin-Kai, East Bay Gardeners Association, Senryu Club.He was raised and educated in Japan. Interned at Tule Lake, CA during WWII.Friends are invited to attend Memorial Services at the Alameda Buddhist Temple, 2325 Pacific Avenue in Alameda on Sunday, October 27, 2002 at 3:00pm
