Sunny Luo's Obituary
Sunny Luo, 羅新禹, lived a life marked by hard work, resilience, courage, and deep devotion to his family. Born in China to a surgeon father and a pharmacist mother, he spent his early life in many places as his parents' work took them to far-flung corners of the country. In his 20s, he eventually left China to pursue education and opportunity in North America in the 1980s.
Working a series of jobs across Canada and the United States, he learned English, earned an associate's degree, and eventually joined the U.S. Army, where he trained in electronics. Along the way, he met and married his wife, Lucilla, and had two children, Robin and Steven. Upon leaving the military, he settled in California with his family and eventually made his way to United Airlines, where he worked 23 years as an avionics maintenance technician before retiring.
He shared his lifelong passion for travel with his family, wandering Europe while stationed in Germany with the Army and eventually visiting six continents. A man of quiet strength and a surprising number of talents, he was a talented cook, a storyteller with a playful spirit, and someone who was never happier than when he was with small children — those of others as well as his own. Late in life, he battled back from major heart surgery to resume working and traveling the world, and he faced Stage 4 cancer in his final years with the same unwavering determination and will to live.
Sunny is survived by his wife and his two children, who will always miss him deeply and remember him fondly.

羅新禹（Sunny Luo），一生勤奮、堅韌、勇敢，並對家庭充滿深厚的愛。他出生於中國，父親是外科醫生，母親是藥劑師。由於父母工作需要，他年幼時曾旅居國內多地。二十多歲時，為追求教育和發展機會，他於上世紀八十年代離開中國前往北美。
他先後在加拿大和美國從事多種工作，學習英語，獲得副學士學位，最終加入美國陸軍，接受電子技術訓練。在三藩市他結識並娶了妻子 Lucilla，育有兩個孩子 Robin 和 Steven。退伍後，他與家人定居加州，最終進入聯合航空，擔任航空電子設備維修技師 23 年，直至退休。
他與家人分享了對旅行的畢生熱愛，從軍隊駐紮德國期間漫遊歐洲，到最終足跡遍及六大洲。他是一個充滿力量的人，擁有許多令人驚喜的才能，他是一位廚藝精湛的廚師、一個富有幽默感的故事講述者，與孩子們（無論是自己的還是別人的）在一起時，他總是感到最快樂。晚年，他經歷了重大的心臟手術，但奮力康復，得以重返工作崗位並繼續環遊世界。在生命的最後兩年，他以同樣堅定不移的決心和求生意志對抗四期癌症。
Sunny 身後留下了他的妻子和兩個孩子，他們將永遠深深懷念他並永遠記住他。
