Stig Olov Bjork's Obituary
Stig Olov Bjork was born in Grangesberg, Sweden April 23, 1930 to Emil & Astrid Bjork and passed in Oakland, CA August 26, 2013. He lived a full, adventurous, industrious and hard working life. He was a sportsman, fisherman, skier, dancer, gardener, builder, reader, talker, amateur gemologist, orchid & accordian enthusiast, baker, barbequer, son, husband, father, cousin, grandfather, friend. He lost his wife Mirge (Marion) in 1986, but is survived by daughters Sandra, Cristine & Jean Marie, grandchildren Michelle, Brian, Nathan, Daniel, Elise & Jesse, grandchild-in-law Shannon, great-grandchildren Jacob & Makena, sons-in-law Charlie & Ray and friends in the Swedish Society of Oakland Tegner Lodge, Golden Gate Cymbidium Society, Mineral & Gem Society of Castro Valley, San Francisco Accordion Club and Golden Age Senior Center of Oakland. He loved being in the garden sunshine, which is where we will always remember him.
