Mom loved kids, in fact I always joke that being with Mom was like being raised by a kid. Here she is as an elementary school elder back when she was in college, before she ever had the thought of emigrating to the United States. To me, this is the social context that she knew, loved, and always carried with her. No matter how she was doing, she would always light up whenever she could interact with youngsters.
