Soledad Nalundasan Oducayen's Obituary
Soledad Oducayen passed away on March 29, 2016 at the sweet young age of 93. She had a full life, living mostly in Honolulu and Oakland with her husband, who predeceased her by 8 years, and their 6 children. Prior to moving to the U.S., they lived in Philippines. Soledad loved life as much as she loved her children and their spouses,13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She enjoyed her early years as a teacher, but being “Grandma” was definitely her calling. When she had a sewing or crochet project, she was amazingly focused and quick. Our closets are filled with beautiful quilts, crochet bedspreads, hats, shawls and mufflers. Four years ago, her wish to travel to Italy, the Vatican and London, came true! Mom/Grandma, thanks for everything. Now it’s time for you to rest. We love and miss you so much.
