Siu Ping Chung Ma's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Siu Ping Chung Ma, who left us on September 21, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on April 22, 1954, in China, Siu Ping brought warmth and joy to everyone who knew her.
Siu Ping was a beloved chef at the UC Berkeley dining hall, where she dedicated many years to serving students and staff with his culinary talents. Her dishes were not just meals but expressions of her love and care for the community.
She is survived by his devoted husband, Stephen Chung, sons Rex and Ryan Chung, and her family in California and Hong Kong, China, who will miss her dearly. Siu Ping’s kindness, generosity, and passion for cooking will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of the Chimes, where friends and family will gather to celebrate her life and bid her a heartfelt farewell.
