Silas W Floyd's Obituary
SILAS W. FLOYD was born April 6, 1936 in Louisville, KY. He served in the U.S. Army Airborne Division as a Paratrooper during the Korean War. He was a Civil Service employee for 37 years and retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1992.
Silas known to friends and family as “Bud” spent his formative years in Dayton, Ohio where he met his wife of 51 years Annie J. Floyd. They moved to Oakland, CA where they raised 3 children Alicia Floyd, Dwayne L. Floyd and Warren A. Floyd who proceeded him in death.
Bud leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Annie J. Floyd; daughter Alicia Floyd-Clay (Roger), son Dwayne L. Floyd (Linda), seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and many friends.
He will forever live in the hearts of those who loved him.
