Shirley M. Minor died in Oakland, CA on September 26, 2004. She was the loving mother of Joy Hill of Los Angeles, Yasmin Minor-Cummings of Oakland, George C. Minor, Jr. of San Francisco and Monique Love of San Francisco. She was the dear grandmother of Melissa Minor, Ellis Cummings, Jr., Danielle Randle, George C. Minor, III, Joseph Hill, Joy Nevarez, Jasmin Hill and Demesha Minor. She was also the dear great-grandmother of Ellis Jamal Cummings, Keymonei Hill, Keko Hill, Keiara Minor Si'ki McMorris and Jo?quisha Hill. She is also survived by a host of cousins and friends.A native of Louisiana, she was 75 years of aged. She was active in the Center of Elders Independence.
