Dearest Shelley,It’s been almost 5 years since your passing. You were just about the sweetest most thoughtful friend I every could have asked for. You loved me unconditionally. I regret not being that same kind of friend to you and about not being better about maintaining our connection long distance. I miss you in my life. April 7, 2016 – I have been searching for the whereabouts of my dear sister, Shelley, and have finally learned today what's become of her.It is with heavy heart that I've learned of her death, and that I never got the chance to see her one last time.What can I say of Shelley? She was the best sister anyone can have, always thinking unselfishly of others, almost always happy, cheerful.That I'd maintained a hateful sibling rivalry regarding her is the most painful regrets of my life, and it remains a mystery to me to this day. How could I possibly feel this way to someone who literally never did me any wrong, but only loved me?Thankfully Shelley and I did have a few happy memories together, once, when I would play my guitar and invite her to enjoy singing some songs with me, and also during my time in the Air Force when I'd come home on leave and took her in my arms for the very first time.I'm confident she is in a better place now, and wherever you are, Shelley, I hope you can forgive me for any and all pain and sadness I caused you. When it's my turn to go, Shelley, we shall be together in paradise forever.
