Sharon Pangburn's Obituary
Sharon Pangburn, beloved wife, mother, and sister, passed away on February 13, 2019, at the age of 71.
A longtime resident of the Bay Area, she attended the Southern University where through a special program, she spent her junior year attending University of California, Berkeley and met her best friend and husband, Donald Pangburn. She graduated with a degree in Biochemistry. She went on to complete her Ph.D. in Physiology and Pharmacology from University of California, San Diego.
Later, with two children, Sharon went back to school at University of California, Berkeley where she earned her Master’s degree in Business. She worked for the university as an Analyst for the Capital Projects department for about 12 years.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Don, daughters, Kasanda and Kara, and 2 grandsons, Jaeden and Donovan.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 1, at 11:00 a.m.with the repast to follow directly after, at Chapel of the Chimes Oakland, 4499 Piedmont Ave Oakland, CA 94611 with Rev Sandra Blair officiating.
